Our mission is to give access to legal information to every person and bring lawyers closer to users. We aim at building a community of better informed individuals. If you are using Lexyom, that means you or your closed ones are facing a legal issue or are trying to avoid facing it in the future. You and your peers may be sharing personal and critical information. That is why, we ask from the Lexyom community to stick to these ground rules:
Treat your Lexyom peers as you would like to be treated yourself: with respect. Lexyom welcomes the diversity of the opinions and asks you to do the same. We want everyone to feel welcome when they use Lexyom. Do not engage in name-calling, threats, harassment, lewdness, or displays of bigotry. When you review a lawyer, be accurate and truthful while remaining civil, respectful and considerate. Do not use Lexyom to engage in unlawful activity or to promote illegal acts.
As part of the Lexyom community, you should be willing to share and you should actively participate in making Lexyom a better resource for legal information. Please be as clear, brief and simple when asking a question. Do not post spam or post irrelevant content. We encourage you to give honest feedback and specific reviews to a lawyer based on your personal experience with that lawyer. Please only review YOUR attorney. As a lawyer, you should think about the quality of your contribution. Please do not simply post the statement "I Agree" in the answers and comments without any other information. Â Elaborate your answers and stay on topic. An answer that is copy pasted to multiple questions without specifically addressing the question will be removed. Additionally, articles and guides with a substantial amount of content that you did not author will be taken down. Remember, an answer is not a sales pitch so, do not invite those asking questions to contact you directly, and do not add contact information or links to your website in answers or answer disclaimers.
We strive to welcome people to an environment free from abusive content. To do this, we rely on people like you. If you see something on Lexyom that you believe violates our terms and these guidelines, please report it to us. Violations may result in limiting or terminating a user’s access to Lexyom. When posting questions, reviews or comments, make sure you do not share personal information such as home or email addresses, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, social security numbers, passwords, etc. If someone asks a question about you, you have the right to have the entire question and its content removed.
